Abstract

Dynamic mesh compression algorithms need to be properly configured in order to produce the best results. So far, the only way of obtaining an optimal configuration was a slow brute-force search, with the exception of a few algorithm-specific methods. We have designed a faster and more efficient method of finding optimal configurations, which can be applied to various compression algorithms. This method is also able to produce configurations of given properties, which was impossible before.
