Abstract

The research  to realize the effects of traditional art is a very useful in digital world. It is very important to know the methods of traditional art fully as well as digital technology. Otherwise the research is also helpful to analysis the style of traditional artist. The report recover the form of the Chinese-painting art, the production image in Softimage software  and  the composition of images in AE. As a result, using software to archieve some complex effects are efficient in design work. To learn some arts is necessary for students engaged in the field of CG software.

About the speaker

Huaqing Shen got his Bachelor Degree in physics from Hangzhou University in 1990, and Master Degree from The Chinese academy of sciences. From 1993 to 2004, he has been managed an advertising production agency, and has rich experiences in computer graphic software and advertising planning skills. From 2004, he has been employed to teach students in School of Arts, Zhejiang University. The works directed by him was nominated as final-selected works in 2004 Annecy animation festival, France. And he was awarded Gold Panda Prize in 2008 SiChun Television Festival, China.  His research interests include digital arts, CG animation, design, multimedia and digital entertainment. Currently, he serves as an associate professor in school of arts, Zhejiang University.
